Shubman Gill's share 2023 New Year resolution list on social media

There have been a lot of young talented players in India, who have announced themselves on the big stage whether it is international cricket or the Indian Premier League(IPL). These young players are backed by the management and the staff due to their talent and skills. When they get to that big stage it is up to them to secure their spot in the team for a long duration and perform consistently every year. One of these players was Shubman Gill who caught the eye of everyone after his impressive performance in the U-19 World Cup 2018 where he was the man of the series.

After showing some promising performances in the IPL as well, Gill came into the scene in the Australia series with some great performances in the 4 Test matches which also include a vital knock in the historic Gabba Test. Gill has had one of the best seasons in 2023 as well with 1373 runs in 33 innings at an average of 47.34. He is so far one of the best batters for India in ODI cricket with over 2000 runs in just 44 innings at a phenomenal average of 61.38. With these performances, it looks like there is no looking back for the youngster now.

Shubman Gill’s 2023 New Year Resolution

Gill recently posted on Instagram about his plans for 2023. He shared that there were a lot of aspirations on the list which included, "scoring the most hundreds for India, making my family proud, giving my best effort and being less hard on myself, Winning the World Cup and winning the orange cap in IPL 2023". There was also a heartfelt message along with this post which said, “Exactly a year ago, I put it out into the universe. With 2023 coming to an end, the year has been full of experiences, some great fun and other great learnings. The end of the year didn't go as planned, but I can proudly say we came ever so close to our goals, giving everything we had. The coming year brings its own challenges and opportunities. Hopefully, we'll get closer to our goals in 2024. I hope all of you find love, joy, and strength in everything you do.”

This shows the positive nature of Gill and how he is looking forward to next year and will be hoping to achieve all his goals. Gill has already achieved a lot in his career and will be looking forward to achieving more in the future.
