Sania Mirza and family reveal marriage issues on social media

Marriage has been a very widely discussed topic when it comes to celebrities and sportsmen. The couples which include people in the field of sports like Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been the talk of the town and are making a lot of headlines all around the world. The moment when two well-known people tie the knot becomes a story for every media and news channel all over the world. These couples are expected to set examples and are idolised to be a perfect partner to their significant other.

One such pair that became one of the most well-known unions in the world was the wedding of Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik. Both these people are iconic sportspeople in their respective fields. Sania Mirza is considered one of the best Tennis players India has ever produced and Shoaib Malik was one of the best middle-order batters for Pakistan in the past. The moment both of them were married in 2010 and started a family, they had to go through a lot of speculations. Since they are both from countries that do not have the best relations, they had all eyes on them.

The couple normally kept their personal life private and initially did not disclose any issues in their marriage. The news of their separation however has caused a stir in the media and the social media is flooded with questions. Shoaib Malik was also engaged to actress Sana Javed which had a lot of rumours and speculations spreading. However, Sania Mirza’s family finally opened up on the situation saying “Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now.” 

This statement did create a lot of talk on social media platforms regarding the couple who has seemed to end their relationship without much hype. The statement also said that they wish Shoaib well for his future and his marriage as well. This shows that there is still respect among the two parties even after ending their relationship a few months ago.
