Ravindra Jadeja dedicates his 'Man of the Match' award to his wife

The India vs England series 3rd Test at the Saurashtra Cricket Association(SCA) ended in a one-sided victory for the hosts. The Indian team was on top of the game with some great performances by the players. The England team were pegged back from the beginning with the India team scoring 445 in the first innings of the game. England was not able to get back into the game and eventually had to chase down a total of 557 which they failed to secure a 434-run victory.

Despite the great performances from Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal, it was the all-round performance by Ravindra Jadeja that stole the show. Jadeja was moved up to the order and formed a great partnership with skipper Rohit Sharma, Jaddu managed to score his 4th century in Test cricket and came back with a 5-fer to finish off the England innings in the end. Jadeja was the player of the match for scoring a century and taking 7 wickets in the game.

Jadeja dedicates the award to his wife

There was no doubt that Jadeja deserved the man of the match for his performance. The 35-year-old all-rounder dedicated it to his wife and member of the Legislative Assembly Rivaba Jadeja saying, “This is a special Man of the Match on my home ground and I would like to dedicate this to my wife because she has been working hard on me behind mentally and also gives me a lot of confidence."

This was a heartfelt moment shared by Jadeja for his wife. There was some major controversy that was brewing with Jadeja’s father’s allegation towards his son and his wife. Jadeja still fought through those issues and performed at his best. This is a great moment for the number 1 ranked all-rounder and we will be looking forward to seeing him perform in the last two games of the series.
