WATCH: Sarfaraz Khan's family emotional reaction to their son getting his Test cap in 3rd Test vs England in Rajkot

India's 3^rd Test vs England is currently underway at the Saurashtra Cricket Association (SCA) stadium in Rajkot. Having won the toss, India elected to bat first. This is the much-awaited match game that will challenge both teams. 

While England have gone on to make only one change in the match, the hosts have gone on to make four. This was due to the injuries of some big players and the need to test out some young players as well. It will be interesting to see whether these changes will make a difference going into this Test match.

There are two debutants in the Indian side, where the young and upcoming wicketkeeper batter Dhruv Jurel has got his first game as well. The next player is also a much-awaited debut, Sarfaraz Khan, who has finally got his Test cap. Sarfaraz was already in contention for a spot in the side with his remarkable performance in first-class cricket. Sarfaraz has been averaging over 60 in the Ranji Trophy as well. This is a well-deserved debut for the young talent and he will look to take this opportunity with both hands.

This Test cap has meant a lot to Sarfaraz’s family, who were present at the venue as well. Especially Sarfaraz’s father Naushad Khan, who has been coaching Sarfaraz in his young days. Sarfaraz made his debut in the Indian Premier League(IPL) at the age of 17 for Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB). He finally made his debut at the age of 26. The tears of joy from the family showed the struggle they had to go through to finally reach this moment in his life. It is one of the best days for Sarfaraz and his family and we are looking forward to seeing him perform in international cricket.

It is always a special day for the cricketer when he gets the chance to play for his national side. It is great to see Sarfaraz finally get his chance on the big stage after getting sidelined even after his consistent performances. Sarfaraz has the chance of making a big impact in this series as well. His attacking style of batting can be a massive asset for the Indian side. There are some big expectations from him looking at his impressive first-class career.
