Ravichandran Ashwin's wife posts heart-felt message on social media

There have been a lot of great spinners in the India squad, who have impressed us with their guile and spin. One of the best spinners for India right now is none other than Ravichandran Ashwin. The 37-year-old off-spinner might not have an iconic series but has still been brilliant. Ashwin has played 98 Test games and has taken 501 wickets at an average of 23.94. He is currently one of the three top-ranked Test bowlers as well. Ashwin is not only one of the most talented offspinners, but is a great thinker of the game as well.

Ashwin had completed 500 wickets in the 3rd Test vs England in Rajkot and is currently the second-highest wicket-taker under Anil Kumble. Ashwin has had a great career spanning over 13 years already. Ashwin’s wife Prithi Narayana recently shared a heartfelt post on social media saying, “We chased 500 to Hyderabad, but it didn’t happen. To Vizag, it didn’t happen. So I just thought of a ton of sweets and gave them to everyone at home at 499. Five hundred came and went quietly.”

With this Prithi also mentioned, “A lot happened between 500 and 501, the longest 48 hours of our lives. But this is about the 500. And the 499 before that.” This was said since the star spinner had to miss a day due to a family emergency after taking his 500th wicket. This message shows how much Ashwin cares about his family and will do anything for them in the long run. Ashwin is one of the best spinners in the world right now and we will still be looking forward to seeing him perform.
