The Indians have named their squad for the upcoming 5-match Test series vs England at home which will start on the 25th of January. This will be another series where both the teams will be tested. India will be confident in the series with their spin trio of Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel in the lineup. They will once again look to bring the game to England. He will be looking to win a Test series in India which they have not won since 2014 for 10 years. This will still be an epic five-match battle filled with world-class players and great young talents.
The one person who will be looking to give his best performance is India’s star spin-bowling all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin. He is currently one of the highest wicket takers in Tests for India with 490 wickets from 95 matches. We know that he is a master in Test cricket, but there will still be talks about Ashwin being part of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 as well. To be fair Ashwin does have a decent record in the shortest format as well with 72 wickets in 65 T20Is and over 300 wickets in T20s overall.
Ashwin’s clever reply
Ashwin along with being one of the best minds in the game known for his clever tactics is known to display it in interviews and engagements off the field as well. He has a similar engagement on X where a person with the handle of Mahatma Gandhi tweeted regarding Ashwin’s place in the World Cup to which the great sportsman gave a hilarious and clever reply saying, “Gandhiji aap kaise ho,'' which means how are you Gandhiji. This reply went viral on social media with a lot of fans giving positive reactions.
This is the reason why Ashwin is one of the most successful players in the world right now where he is not only a bowler who always has a trick up his sleeve, but also a person who is mentally prepared for everything. This can be seen across all platforms where he has been known for having an answer to every question that he is asked.
