The First T20I witnessed a high-scoring game in the New Zealand vs Pakistan 5-match T20I series. The Kiwis were the ones who emerged victorious in the first game and will be looking to repeat the same in the 2nd game at Seddon Park in Hamilton. New Zealand started off by putting up a total of 226 on the board against the men in green in the first game. Pakistan tried their best but still fell short of the target by a margin of 46 runs. Shaheen Afridi and his men would want to come back after this defeat and fight back at the Kiwis in this upcoming game. It will be intriguing to see if New Zealand will once again dominate at their home ground or will the South Asian giants come back stronger.
New Zealand were the best team on the day with both bat and ball and though there were some great performances with the bat, it was Daryl Mitchell who stole the show. The 32-year-old all-rounder scored 61 of just 27 balls that consisted of 4 fours and 4 sixes at a phenomenal strike rate of over 220. The bowlers in the match did not have the best day on either team, but the experience of Tim Southee proved vital for the Kiwis on what looked like a belter. His spell of 4/25 in 4 overs at an economy of just over 6 was the pick of the team's bowlers and the entire match.
Pakistan would be disappointed especially with their bowling performances which led to New Zealand setting a big total. There was one man though who looked great on the day and it was none other than their former skipper and star batter Babar Azam. There might have been quick 20’s from a lot of batters, but Babar’s 57 from 35 deliveries which included 6 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of over 160 was the reason the team got closer to the huge total set by the hosts.

NZ vs PAK: Pitch Report and Playing Conditions
Seddon Park seems to be another pitch that will be great for batting with big runs scored in the last few T20 games. This looks like the bowlers will be tested once again by the conditions where the ball seems to skid onto the bat easily. There are a lot of powerful batters who will look to use these conditions to their benefit and put a lot of runs on the board. The best thing to do on this pitch will be chasing, but if the batting team puts up a total like in the last game, it will still be tough for the other team.
