The Melbourne Cricket Ground(MCG) is one of the most iconic grounds in cricket history in Australia. The ground is known for its big dimensions and iconic matches that it has hosted. The Boxing Day Tests to World Cup games all these games were played at this ground. The ground also holds a capacity of over 100,000 people which leads to a big number arriving to watch the game and witness the game. This ground has an emotional connection with every cricketer and cricket fan who only has great memories at this venue and has cherished it for years. The history and games that have been played at this venue prove why the ground has a great atmosphere in every game.

One of the legends of Indian cricket who has praised this ground a lot is none other than the Nawab himself Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. The former India skipper who was known as the one-eyed tiger due to losing vision in his right eye had played some great innings for his nation. He was also the First India skipper to win an overseas tour. Pataudi has had a great career where he has played over 300 first-class games and 46 Test matches. In those games he has over 15000 First class runs and over 2500 runs in Test cricket making him a legend to be remembered in Indian cricket.

Pataudi family at the MCG

The MCG is where every cricketer has had some great memories and Pataudi had scored scores of 75 and 76 on what was a green top at the G. Pataudi mentioned those two innings which he holds in high regard even when he has the highest score of 203 in his career as well. Bollywood actress and daughter of Pataudi Soha Ali Khan were seen at the MCG along with her husband Kunal Khemu and their daughter reminiscing the thoughts of this venue of her late father. This was a heartfelt moment for fans who are seeing the family remember the late legend and his service to the game.

This gesture was a great moment from Soha and Kunal to show their love for one of the greatest sportsmen of India who ever lived and a father whom they adored. These were great scenes which showed how much the MCG meant to the late cricketer as well and we hope that he is loving watching his family relive the greatest stories of his days as a player from the heavens above. This is a great way to remember the legend for the people and a loving father to his children.
