The Indian Premier League(IPL) auction 2024 is coming with more and more surprises. A lot of players are attracting franchise money and spending big money. Sameer Rizvi is a 20 yr old right-handed batter from Uttar Pradesh who was bought by Chennai Super Kings(CSK) for 8.4cr and Shubham Dubey is a southpaw from Vidarbha who is bought by Rajasthan Royals(RR) for 5.8cr. For these former IPL champions to bid and go big for these uncapped players making them the most expensive uncapped players in the auction right now, there must be a reason behind buying these young and talented players and spending money on them.

Performance of the two young talents in domestic cricket.

Sameer Rizvi is a young player from Uttar Pradesh who impressed everyone with his great batting in the UP T20 league with 455 runs and hit two big centuries as well. Along with his decent performances in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as well with 295 runs from 11 games at an average of 49.2 in his T20 career so far, there is no doubt that CSK has seen a bright future ahead for this youngster and will look to groom him. Shubam Dubey is another left-hander who has also scored some big and valuable runs for Vidarbha. He has a strike rate of over 145 in T20 which has attracted the Rajasthan franchise which likes to invest in young and upcoming players.

These youngsters have made big bucks for a reason and it will be great to see how they will perform in the league amongst the best players in the world. This is a huge opportunity and challenge for two players with no international experience behind them. They will have to bring their domestic performance to these big leagues and impress on the big stage as well. This is one opportunity that will be a make or break for them.
