There is no question that Cummins is one of the world's best, but he hasn’t really been at his best in T20 cricket. However, in the auction, he is still the first player to go for over 20 cr in the auction and is most likely one of the potential captains for SRH as well seeing how he has been leading his teams in international cricket and winning two major trophies.

Mitchell Starc is now the most expensive player in IPL history going at 24.75 cr to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Beating the previous record set by his skipper in the same auction. Starc will also be returning to the IPL after 8 years. This is one of the biggest moments in IPL history, where he will also be the most-paid player this upcoming season. There is no doubt that Starc is one of the most feared pacers in cricket right now and with the demand for fast bowlers in the auction he has certainly broken the barriers.
