Chris Jordan has been struggling to find his form of late. And an injury scare has popped in out of nowhere to add to his misery. Chris Jordan has injured his finger and is ruled out of the remainder of The Hundred 2022. The 33-year-old did not impress with his bowling and failed to contribute with the bat as well.
The Barbadian-born English cricketer tried to get his hand midway when Kieron Pollard tried to smack the ball to a boundary. The all-rounder looked uncomfortable albeit he did continue to bowl. The 33-year-old also managed to face four balls in the match against London Spirit last Friday.
Chris Jordan missed out on the match against Oval Invincibles and the injury scare is haunting the England National Team. The 33-year-old is expected to be fully fit before the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Southern Brave might sign a replacement for the all-rounder before their next game against Manchester Originals on Thursday. Tymal Mills will also miss out for the rest of the tournament.
Southern Brave's coach, Mahela Jayawardene, talked about the options available for the team. He said that they'll look at the options and go for a call.
"We have a few days before our next game so we will make some plans and see who is out there and available," the former Sri Lankan said after Sunday's game.
Injury scare shakes the England cricket team
Chris Woakes and Mark Wood are not rolling their arms over in the ongoing Hundred 2022. Richard Gleeson has not contributed with the ball in all of the four games for the Originals due to a niggle. With injuries piling up on one end, the headache to find replacements keep piling up on the other side. And with the 20-20 World Cup 2022 right around the corner, the England selectors can only hope for a possible return of the senior bowlers.
