Match 6 of The Hundred 2022 saw London Spirit locking horns with Manchester Originals. The match was mostly one-sided with London Spirit reigning over Manchester Originals as they won the match by 52 runs. The iconic Lord's stadium hosted the match. The Spirit's skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and elected to bat first.

In a pitch that favours bowling, Eoin Morgan went otherwise and took a well-worthy risk. The Spirit lost their first wicket for just nine runs. But then Zak Crawley and Glenn Maxwell joined hands to put on a decent partnership before Maxwell perished. It was Morgan and Crawley's show thereafter. The latter was dismissed for 41 runs, while Morgan smashed three sixes and one four off the 26 balls he faced. He got out for a well-played 37.

Kieron Pollard was in beast mode as he smacked four sixes and a four off the eleven balls he faced. The aggressive batter was just having fun hitting at a strike of over 300. He remained unbeaten while Jordan Thompson and Ravi Bopara perished at the other end.

At the end of the first innings, the Spirits put on a total of 160 in hundred balls. Manchester Originals lacked intent while chasing the target. Skipper Jos Buttler was dismissed by Thompson for just 6 runs. Wayne Madsen, Laurie Evans, Paul Walter and Andre Russel were dismissed for single-digit scores. Philip Salt played a decent 36 before he perished too.

Tristan Stubbs was dismissed for a single run while Sean Abbott and Tom Hartley managed to reach two-digit scores. They both scored 10 and 17 runs, respectively. The Originals were bowled for just 108 runs with two balls to spare. Jordan Thompson picked up a four-for and outclassed the Spirit batters. Consistent wickets at regular intervals cost the match for the Spirits.

Skipper Buttler was disappointed at the very start of the innings. Except for the fifty in the last match against the Superchargers, Buttler has disappointed in the last four innings.
