Tvesa Malik from India had to go through lots of ups and downs in the final round to finish in the 51st position but got tied in the Aramco Series Sotogrande Golf Tournament that took place in Spain. Tvesa, who made the cut on the line, got 4 birdies against 5 bogeys in her round of 73. She finished at four- over- 220.
Twesa was the lone Indian on the field at the golf course. Her schedule will continue for the Ladies European Tour, which will again continue on next week at Skafto Open in Sweden. On the other hand, Nelly Korda, who is the World No 3 at the moment, is a great flow and she fired a beautiful final round of 67 (-5) to emerge victorious and get the individual title at the Aramco Team Series which happened at Sotogrande in Spain.
World number 3 started the day 7 shots behind her sister Jessica Korda, who was leading overnight and dropped a shot on the second hole. But the Olympic champion soon found her way back to form in three birdies on holes seven through nine and later holes twelve through fourteen, before getting another on sixteen.
India’s Tvesa Malik makes the most of a late birdie on the 17th hole to do well and her fortunes favored her in the 36-hole cut at the Aramco Team Series Sotogrande, which took place in Spain.
Tvesa, who made an impressive fightback from 3-over to even par in the first round, was in Deep Water in the second round. She managed to claw back with a birdie on the 13th but a bogey on 14th pushed her down yet again before a birdie on Par-3 17th saved the day. She was tied at 52nd after two rounds as the Top-60 and managed to make the cut at La Reserva Club de Sotogrande.
