After the tour of the West Indies, India will take on Zimbabwe for a three-match ODI series at Harare stadium from August 18. The three ODI matches will be played on August 18th, 20th, and 22nd.
Shikhar Dhawan will, once again, wear the captaincy hat for the tour in the absence of senior players. KL Rahul is left out due to Covid-19 post-recovery issues. Virat Kohli has also been rested for the series.
Nevertheless, here’s a look at the three major reasons why India can beat Zimbabwe:
1) All rounders’ domination:

India will come up with a pretty good squad for the Zimbabwe tour. India has dominated Zimbabwe for years now. This time around, India have a strong all-rounders brigade. Deepak Hooda, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur and Axar Patel can prove to be vital in the middle of the innings.
Deepak Chahar has also made his way back to the squad after getting ruled out of the squad due to injury, earlier. He can be handy with the bat as well. The all-rounders can dominate the series and Deepak Chahar will be the one to watch out for.
The Chahar-Thakur duo can be threatening with pace in the bank. Sundar-Patel-Hooda trio can be threatening from the spin prospect. This gives an edge for India over Zimbabwe.
