Yuzvendra Chahal is known for his wit, humour, and skills on and off the cricket field. The spinner can do wonders with the ball and so did he for the Rajasthan team in the 2022 Indian T20 League. The bowler bagged the most number of scalps and ended up becoming the leading wicket-taker for the team. The Haryana-born will also be a part of the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2022.

The 32-year-old, recently, came up with an interesting story involving Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. In an interaction with SportsYaari, he revealed the advice the Indian skipper gave to him. The Indian skipper told him to not only bowl in the powerplay but also in the death overs. He shed light on how it improved his confidence significantly and the impact that it had on his game.

The spinner added that he communicated the same to the Rajasthan team's skipper Sanju Samson. He was happy to continue the approach for the Indian team as well.

"Before going to the IPL, Rohit Bhai told me to bowl in end overs as well powerplay, I communicated this with Sanju during IPL then it helped my confidence in bowling in these phases and continuing in Indian team as well," the spinner told.

The spinner also gave his opinion on the Indian veteran Virat Kohli's poor form. He advised the people to look at Kohli's stats before commenting on his form. The Rajasthan bowler shed light on  the standards that the veteran set for himself and hoped for him to make his comeback soon. He reminded people of his two 20-20 World Cup Man of the Tournament awards and said that his records speak for himself.

"Look at Virat Kohli’s records. He had a 50+ average in all the formats, has 70 centuries, and 2 Man Of The tournaments in the T20 World Cup. People don’t count his 60-70 runs due to the standards he set for himself," Chahal said.

The 32-year-old would look to make the most out of the opportunities at the Asia Cup 2022.
