A comedy of errors on a cricket field is quite a common sight. it is quite often that an incomprehensible incident from the cricket field makes it onto the internet and serves as entertainment to cricket fans.
Another such video from Pakistan has been going viral on the internet. The video which is from Bangladesh under 19s tour of Pakistan shows the comedy of errors at the pitch that many are failing to comprehend.
It all started after a Pakistan batter plays a shot on the covers and sets off for a run. After taking a few steps, however, the batter changes his mind and turns back to the batting crease, all while the non-striker has already crossed the halfway line.
Soon both the batters are seen running for the batting crease while the Bangladesh bowler reacts in agony as the ball fails to be delivered at any of the stumps.
As both Pakistan batters are in the batting crease, the Bangladesh wicketkeeper shows a moment of brilliance and starts running towards the non-striker’s end so he could receive the ball and get one Pakistan batter run out. Seeing this, however, the non-strike Pakistan batter who has now reached the striker’s end also starts to run towards the other end to save his wicket.

In another brain fade moment from the strike batter, however, he starts to run towards the non-striker’s end after the other Pakistan batter. While he’s halfway through the pitch, the non-striker batter asks him to return to the batting crease and he acknowledges.
While watching the two batters make a mockery of running between the wickets is immensely funny in itself, another aspect of this that doesn’t appear on the camera is the ball. All while the comedy of errors continues, the ball is nowhere to be seen which means there is another set of hilarity going on away from the camera.
The fans on Reddit were quite amused at the video. One user by the name, HollMarch wrote, “This is beyond village. In fact, this is beyond science.”
