Ahead of the prestigious finals of the Test Championship between India and Australia, Adidas revealed new jerseys for the Indian team. The much-awaited jersey has left fans split as Adidas Launched it on social media on Thursday, June 1. Notably, India is set to face Australia in the finals of the Test Championship at the iconic Oval Cricket Ground in London from June 7.

The new kit features a new design for all three formats of the game as well as the logo of the team's new sponsor. The shirt was revealed via the Indian cricket team's official Instagram account. The jerseys were revealed in Mumbai's Wankhede stadium. Notably, the Test shirt is plain white with two dark blue stripes at the shoulder. The ODI and T20I jersey has two white stripes on the shoulder and is Light blue and dark blue colour respectively.

The Indian cricket board has signed a five-year deal with Adidas for around 350 crore rupees. The deal will last till 2028 and it will include various multinational tournaments. "An iconic moment. An iconic stadium. Introducing the new Team India Jerseys," said a post jointly made by Adidas India and the Indian cricket team.

After signing the historic deal with the leading sportswear brand Adidas, Indian Cricket Board Secretary Jay Shah praised the company and its legacy. He said, "We are committed to helping grow the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the worldโ€™s leading sportswear brands, Adidas, in this journey. With its rich historical legacy in sports, world-class products, and strong global reach, Adidas will play an important role in driving the performance and future success of different categories of Indian cricket."

However, talking about the game all members of the Indian cricket team reached England to prepare for the final game. India is also set to play a four-day intra-squad game Ahead of the much-awaited clash. Rohit Sharma's leading Indian team will be keen to clinch the Test mace as they were runner-up in the last final. In 2022, India lost the finals to New Zealand by 8 wickets under the leadership of Jasprit Bumrah.
