The Major League Cricket in the United States of America has attracted a lot of viewers, thanks to some amazing cricket being played. Many known faces are taking part in the tournament and performing well for their teams. The likes of Haris Rauf, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo, Nicholas Pooran, David Miller, Aaron Finch, Trent Boult, Kieron Pollard, Faf Du Plessis, Devon Conway, and many others are playing in the tournament for different teams.

One of the biggest stars in T20 cricket, Andre Russell, is playing for the Los Angeles Knight Riders. The superstar from West Indies has been great at batting for his team. Unfortunately, the monster has not got enough support from the other end in any match. Knight Riders have lost all three matches in the tournament till now.

In the recent encounter against San Fransisco Unicorns, Knight Riders lost the game by 21 runs. It was their third loss in a row in the tournament. Opting to bat first, Unicorns posted a mammoth total of 212 runs on a good batting wicket in Dallas. Matthew Wade scored 78(41) and was well assisted by Marcus Stoinis and Corey Anderson, who scored 37(18) and 39(20) respectively.

Efforts of Andre Russell in vain

Chasing the target, Knight Riders was off to a flier, thanks to a blistering start from Jason Roy. But Royโ€™s departure caused a collapse. From 55/0 in 4.4 overs, Knight Riders crumbled to 116/5 in 13.1 overs. In 41 deliveries, Knight Riders needed 97 runs. The game was pretty much done and dusted by the time Russell and Narine stepped in. The captain of Knight Riders found it difficult to time the ball. It did not help Russell on the other end.

50 runs were needed in the last 2 overs when Haris Rauf was asked to bowl. The 29-year-old bowled a slower delivery right in the slot as Russell picked and dispatched it over the mid-wicket for a monstrous 108-metres six. It was the longest six of the tournament. Despite the efforts from Andre Russell, Knight Riders lost the match.
