India are all set to face off with New Zealand in a three-match T20I series starting on Friday. The ‘Men-in-Blue’ recently whitewashed the Kiwis 3-0 in the ODI series and now will be aiming to do the same in T20Is as well. The first match of the series will be played in Dhoni’s hometown Ranchi. India will be led by Hardik Pandya who’s been captaining the T20I side after the 20-20 World Cup 2022.

While MS Dhoni will be seen back in action in the next year’s Indian T20 League. Ahead of the season, there have been many speculations on the retirement of the World Cup-winning captain from all forms of cricket. Dhoni had previously revealed in an interview that he will happily retire after playing his final game for the Chennai Franchise at their home ground M. Chidambaram stadium in Chennai.

MS Dhoni to retire after Indian T20 League 2023?

With the Indian T20 League set to take place in the home and away format next year, the season could well turn out to be the last one for the 41-year-old veteran. Under Dhoni’s leadership, Chennai have clinched four titles of the Indian T20 League and are the second most successful franchise after Mumbai.
