Ahead of their game against Bangalore on April 2, Mumbai started full squad practice sessions in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. The five times champion team has been camping for a long time with domestic players but senior players joined a couple of days ago after finishing national duties. Meanwhile, a video of skipper Rohit Sharma from practice sessions created a buzz among fans about his role in the team.

A recent video posted by the franchise on various social media platforms features Rohit Sharma. The skipper is hitting hard and massive sixes in the nets. His effortless hitting has created a buzz among fans as they want him to replicate the same in the upcoming games. Notably, Rohit has been a key batter of the team but has not performed as per his standards in the last few years. His performance was one of the biggest reasons for Mumbai's failure last year.

Coming to this season the five-time champions Mumbai will want to make a strong comeback. The team will hope their batters fire in absence of a quality bowling lineup. Mumbai will get the services of some of the most powerful hitters this season. They have roped in star Australia allrounder Camron Green, Tim David, and Tristan Stubbs who can just change the momentum of the game any time.

Who will replace Jasprit Bumrah?

Ahead of the season, Mumbai has been fighting fitness issues as star India pacer Jasprit Bumrah got injured. His injury forced him to miss most of the cricket in the last six months and his road to recovery is also too slow. Apart from him another pacer Jhye Richardson also got injured leaving Mumbai in deep trouble. The franchise is yet to announce any replacement for these players and it will be a very difficult task for them to cope without any great bowling options.

Although the team will receive the services of Jofra Archer apart from him there is a big gap in the bowling lineup.
