American professional wrestling pundit Vince Russo expressed his displeasure with WWE putting AJ Styles in a bout against Seth Rollins at Night of Champions 2023. The two will square off for the newly minted WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Saturday night, which is expected to be an exciting affair.
However, some have been disappointed by the lack of interaction between the two prior to the show. Meanwhile, Russo, who is also a wrestling booker and writer, stated that Styles had just returned and the promotion put him in a contest that he would most likely lose.
"They are in love with Seth; they are putting the belt on Seth, which doesn't really make any sense to me because I'll be honest with you. You just bring AJ back, and you beat him in a match like this. It couldn't have been someone else?" said Vince Russo on Sportskeeda's Wrestling's Writing with Russo.

Back at Money in the Bank 2019 (professional wrestling pay-per-view and livestreaming event), the Phenomenal One took on Rollins for the Universal Title bout that was widely hailed as one of the best in WWE history. However, fans are not expecting Saturday's match to top that one, but expect the two to put up a good fight.
Bill Apter backs Rollins to win WWE Night of Champions 2023
William Stanley Apter, an American journalist specializing in professional wrestling, also thinks that Seth Rollins will win at the 10th edition of WWE Night of Champions 2023. On a recent episode of UnSKripted, Bill Apter stated that it is the 34-year-old's "time" to win the World Heavyweight Title. Apter also believes this might lead to a rematch of the Rollins vs. Roman Reigns match at Royal Rumble 2022, where the former won through disqualification.
"Seth Rollins. It's his time and eventually what they may do, at some point, is put him against Roman from the past and it'll be title vs. title," said Apter.
Rollins has also teased a rematch with Reigns on multiple occasions by taking digs at him during promos and interviews. "I love Roman Reigns but I don't like Roman Reigns," Rollins earlier said.
