The Apex Cricket Council has launched a special courier service for the much-awaited ODI World Cup 2023, as the ticket information is out and fans are excited to book their seats for India’s blockbuster games. The tickets will be out for all the matches on August 25 but fans have to pre-register before booking the ticket on August 15. The ODI World Cup is set to begin on October 5, while India will start its campaign on October 8 against Australia.
The first phase of ticket booking will be available from August 25, but for the knockout games, it will roll on from September 25. To manage the rush, tickets will be available in different phases. Interestingly, Indian team's warm-up matches tickets will be available from August 30. From the last day of August onwards, tickets for India’s games in Chennai on October 8 vs Australia, October 11 vs Afghanistan, and October 19 vs Bangladesh in Pune will be available.
Whereas from September 1, fans can buy tickets for Team India's matches in Dharamsala vs New Zealand on October 22, then in Lucknow vs England on October 29, and in Mumbai vs Sri Lanka on November 22. From September 2 onwards, tickets for the Kolkata match vs South Africa on November 5 and Bengaluru game vs Netherlands on November 12 tickets will be available.
Here's the phase-wise distribution of ODI World Cup 2023 Tickets:
- August 25: Non-India warm-up matches and all non-India event matches
- August 30: India matches at Guwahati and Trivandrum
- August 31: India matches at Chennai, Delhi and Pune
- September 1: India matches at Dharamsala, Lucknow and Mumbai
- September 2: India matches at Bengaluru and Kolkata

The portal for booking tickets has not been announced but it is likely that BookMyShow and Paytm Insider will manage the sale of WC tickets. Although this time there will be no digital tickets available, the fans have to pick up their ticket from the booking stall or have them couriered. The price range for the marquee event ticket is likely to range between Rs. 500 and Rs. 10,000, although the availability and prices depend on the intensity of the fixtures.
