World Champion Lionel Messi orders Gold Iphones for players and staff after World Cup win

Lionel Messi, the FIFA World Cup champion for Argentina, ordered gold iPhones for each member of his squad and support personnel that participated in the historic victory over France in the final in Qatar 2022.

The player's names, numbers, and the Argentinian insignia are inscribed on the 24-carat devices, which are valued £175,000 (about Rs. 1.73 crore), according to an article in The Sun. Last week, Messi had them delivered to his apartment in Paris.

The Sun revealed what their source had mentioned about this unique order. They said, “Lionel wanted to do something special and blingy to celebrate his proudest moment. He got in touch with entrepreneur Ben Lyons and they came up with the design together."

The report also spoke about Ben, who is the  CEO of iDesign Gold. He said that, “Lionel is not only the Goat but he’s one of IDESIGN GOLD’s most loyal customers and got in touch with us a couple of months after the World Cup final. He said he wanted a special gift for all the players and staff to celebrate the amazing win but didn’t want the usual gift of watches."

Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties to win their third world championship, and captain Lionel Messi took home the trophy for the first time. On Monday, Messi was crowned with the title of “The Best’’ by FIFA after his heroics throughout the tournament.

After winning the trophy Messi said that, “I’d like to express thanks to my team-mates, to Scaloni and without them I wouldn’t be here. My coach, he is part of this victory as well. I’d like to pay tribute to all of my team-mates. It was an amazing year and I achieved a dream I’ve been hoping for so long. Finally I achieved it. It’s a dream for any player. Very few players can achieve that and I’ve been lucky enough to do it.”
