They were 176/3, at one stage, and then collapsed to 261/10 in no time. False shots and poor choices led to the team’s defeat. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, was exceptional on the final day of play. Ramesh Mendis backed him up well with a four-for. Jayasuriya was adjourned the “Player of the Series”. Dhananjaya de Silva bagged the “Man of the Match” award for his match-winning century.

Babar Azam looked the only one batter who showed intent out there. He stood his ground till the end and tried his best. However, with wickets falling on the other end, the road only got tougher for him. His 81 was appreciated by cricket fans all around the world. The batter is in exceptional form and manages to score a fifty every other match.
