'What a shame for National Crush' - Fans react as Shubman Gill denies rumors of having a crush on Rashmika Mandanna

Given his recent impressive form in all formats of the game, Shubman Gill is considered to be India's star of the future. The youngster has played several heroic innings for India and has recently smashed centuries and even a double century to win his way into the hearts of his fans. Recently, some rumors have been circulating on social media that Gill is having a crush on actress Rashmika Mandanna.

It started after a media outlet reported on the situation saying that Gill was asked about the actress he liked and he named Rashmika, an Indian actress who works mainly in Telugu and Kannada films. Meanwhile, the cricketer himself denied the claims and commented below the post, "Which media interaction was this, that I myself don't know anything about".

This is not the first time Shubman Gill has been linked to female celebraties 

Cricketers and Indian film celebrities often attract media attention for their off-screen link-ups or romantic relationships. Notably, this is not the first time Shubman Gill is in the news related with an actress. He was often linked with Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan and this time Rashmika's name surprised fans. However, Sarah and Gill always maintained that they are just friends.

There were also some rumors that Gill was dating India legend Sachin Tendulkar's daughter Sara Tendulkar. However, these rumors turned out to be completely false.

Gill is currently part of the India team for the series against Australia. The 23-year-old, who was benched for the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, later replaced KL Rahul in the playing XI for the third Test in Indore. Although the opener did not have a good outing in both the innings, he is aiming to bounce back in the final Test in Ahmedabad.

Rashmika, who fans call the 'national crush', is yet to respond to the rumors with Gill and fans are waiting to see how she reacts to this. She is currently starring in 'Animal' with Ranbir Kapoor and has also agreed to a new film with Tiger Shroff.
