Bangladesh showed India that they are better than them in ODI cricket as they smashed 271-7 in their 50 overs courtesy of Mehidy Hasan Miraz who scored a scintillating 100 off 83 balls with eight fours and four sixes. Mahmudullah Riyad also played a superb knock off 77 off 96 balls with seven fours.

India and Bangladesh locked horns with each other for the second ODI at Dhaka. India started well as Anamul Haque was the first to be dismissed by Mohammed Siraj by trapping him leg before wicket. Litton Das was bowled by Siraj off a cracking delivery. Najmul Hossain Shanto looked good for his 21 off 35 balls with three fours but he was no match for the searing pace of Umran Malik.

Then Washington Sundar came to the party and picked up three wickets which included Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Afif Hossain. Bangladesh were in a spot of bother at 69-6 but Mahmudullah and Mehidy took some rearguard action and resurrected the Bangladesh innings. They took the score from virtually nothing at 69-6 to 271-7 at the end of their innings.

Mehidy Hasan has been in the form of his life in the series so far, he scored 38 off 39 balls with four fours and two sixes which helped Bangladesh beat India in a low-scoring thriller after the Men in Blue made just 186 batting first. Mehidy forged the last wicket alliance with Mustafizur Rahman to see Bangladesh through.

Bangladesh have been at their strongest in ODIs and they had kept India down India to a low total in the first ODI. Rohit Sharma just made 27 from 31 balls Shikhar Dhawan made 7 off 17 balls and Virat Kohli made 9 off 15 balls the batting not turning up for the Men in Blue and also other than KL Rahul who made 73 no one else got going.

India have struggled on spinning wickets and have been found wanting with their technique which has not held them in good stead. Twitter was fully abuzz, let us take a look at the reactions here -
