Irfan Pathan has taken an apparent dislike to Pakistan fans. He was given a hard time by the Pakistani fans when he was covering the 20-20 World Cup which was held in Australia. The Baroda-born cricketer is known for his wit on social media and has demonstrated that it is not easy to pick a fight with him. In an earlier instance, he had picked a bone with Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif when he sent a tweet after India lost to England in the semi-final by 10 wickets.

Irfan had hit back at the Pakistan Prime Minister talking about the differences between the two nations concerning gamesmanship and how the Pakistan fans reacted to India’s semi-final defeat at the 20-20 World Cup. He took a jibe at Pakistan’s present political situation by making a cryptic tweet.

In Pakistan recently, Imran Khan was shot in the foot when he was holding a protest march against the incumbent government. Irfan’s tweet looks like he is targeting the political situation in Pakistan and the unrest it had created in Pakistan. On SUNDAY our ex-pm went out and came back Gracefully and safely. Padosiyo sunday esa Raha…This was the tweet. This sparked a big reaction from the fans in Pakistan.

You are not concentrating on Pakistan - Irfan Pathan

The Pakistan Prime Minister put out a cryptic tweet last month after India were humbled by England in the semi-final of the 2022 World Cup. “So, this Sunday, it’s: 152/0 vs 170/0 #T20WorldCup.” 170-0 was England’s 20-20 World Cup score against India in 2022 and 152-0 was Pakistan’s winning chase against India to beat them in the 2021 World Cup.

Pathan had hit back at Sharif with a cryptic tweet, "Aap mein or hum mein fark yehi hai. Hum apni khushi se khush or aap dusre ke taklif se. Is liye khud ke mulk ko behtar karne pe dhyan nahi hai (This is the difference between you and us. We are happy with ourselves, you look for happiness when others are in trouble. That is why you are not concentrating on your country’s well-being)."

The Pakistan fans reacted strongly to Irfan’s tweet- Let us take a look at the reactions here-
