Pakistan and England are toiling it hard in a seven-match T20I series. Speaking of match six, the Three Lions’ skipper Moeen Ali won the toss and elected to field first. The Babar Azam-led team got off to a shaky start and it was the skipper who held the innings tight at the other end.
Losing two wickets up in the powerplay, Babar Azam tried to steady things up for the Men in Green with handy boundaries. The middle-order crumbled yet again making things tougher for the skipper, leaving him a lot to do for the team.
Speaking of England’s bowling, the likes of Sam Curran and Richard Gleeson kept coming up with tight deliveries to keep the run rate under check. Babar Azam, who anchored the innings, started firing towards the end and powered Pakistan to a decent total of 169. The Pakistani star gathered as many as 87 runs and remained unbeaten till the end.
England thump Pakistan within fifteen overs
The Three Lions openers, Alex Hales and Philip Salt got off to a flyer and looked fired up. The latter found gaps quite easily and helped England to up the run rate. Philip Salt’s valiant start gave England the much-needed foundation to produce a stellar chase.
Talking about the middle overs, it was all about the 26-year-old, who kept hitting it hard. England looked well ahead in the chase and the Moeen Ali-led team looked all set to level the series. Philip Salt vindicated it further with his aggressive inning and won it for his team within 15 overs.
Philip Salt’s unbeaten 86 helped the Three Lions to clinch a crucial win against Pakistan as the series got leveled at 3-3.
