India are at Zimbabwe for a three-match ODI series and the Men in Blue took a comprehensive win in the first ODI by 10 wickets. The likes of Deepak Chahar, Axar Patel, Shikhar Dhawan, and Shubhman Gill all came up with significant performances for India.

KL Rahul-led Indian team marched on to the second ODI with the winning momentum and KL Rahul won the toss yet again. The Karnataka wicketkeeper chose to field and, once again, it paid rich dividents.

Takudzwanashe Kaitano and Innocent Kaia opened the innings for Zimbabwe. The duo did no wonders for the team as Zimbabwe lost the opening wicket for just 20 runs. The second wicket fell seven runs after and within no time, the Chakabva-led men were reduced to 29 for the loss of three wickets. Kaitano, Kaia, and Chakabva raced back to the pavilion in quick succession.

Things got tougher and tougher for the team in Red as they lost one more wicket with only 31 runs on board. Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams played with caution, hoping to change gears later. However, it backfired as the Raza perished after scoring a slow 16. Williams and Ryan Burl also took their time to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Deepak Hooda got rid of Sean Williams and spun the game in India's favor completely. India bowled out Zimbabwe for 161 runs and returned confidently. Skipper KL Rahul opened the innings this time alongside Shikhar Dhawan. Victor Nyauchi got rid of him in the fourth ball of the second over. The skipper got out after contributing just a run. Tanaka Chivanga took the deputy's scalp as the southpaw perished for 33 runs.

Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan steadied the innings for India until the Mumbai batter got out for just six runs. India's opener in the last match, Shubman Gill could not make it past 33 as Luke Jongwe got rid of him. Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson took up the task of taking the team home. After 17 overs, India were 115 for the loss of four wickets.

The Kerala batter smashed a six off Sikandar Raza in the 20th over to take the team's total to 130 and inched closer to the target. A boundary from Deepak Hooda against Evans in the 21st over made things easier for India as they required less than a run per over thereafter.

The Rajasthan wicketkeeper thrashed two consecutive sixes of Sean Williams' over. Sikandar Raza provided a late breakthrough for the team as he deceived Deepak Hooda with a straight ball. Sanju Samson won the match in style for India as he smashed Innocent Kaia's ball to a maximum.

India ended up winning the match by five wickets and sealed the series eventually. Sanju Samson top scored for India with 43 runs and remained unbeaten. Here's how Twitter reacted to India's comprehensive win against Zimbabwe in the second ODI:

Shardul Thakur scalped 3⃣ wickets and was #TeamIndia's Top Performer from the first innings.

Zimbabwe's seam-bowling against India's batters early in the morning could be an interesting contest, as evidenced from whatever we have seen in the run-chase. Bat first in the third ODI, perhaps? #ZIMvIND

Deepak Hooda is next Suresh Raina of Team India!

His ability to roll few overs in between is biggest advantage!

He must be disappointed the way he got out today but he's definitely in the plans for long term (both ODI & T20I)#ZIMvIND#ZIMvsIND pic.twitter.com/nICYCidjCx

Indian defeated Zimbabwe in second odi by 5 wickets and won the series.

Biggest positive has been Sanju Samson the way he performed from West Indies tour with the bat and his wicket keeping has been too notch.

Well played my team 👏👏🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
