Just at the time when Virat Kohli was set and nearing his half-century in the second Test against Australia, the star batter lost his wicket in an unexpected stroke of bad luck. There is no doubt that Kohli's wicket will be the subject of controversy in the cricket community as the ball appeared to hit both bat and pad at the same time when the batter tried to defend. The umpire's decision also shocked the crowd as the Delhi boy looked in fine form, scoring 44 runs including four boundaries.
India were in deep trouble after losing the wickets of KL Rahul (17), Rohit Sharma (32), Cheteshwar Pujara (0), and Shreyas Iyer (4) in the first session of Day 2. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja put on a respectable partnership with the former Indian skipper before being dismissed by Todd Murphy in the 47th over. With India five wickets down after Jadeja's wicket, all the hopes were rested on Kohli's shoulders. But Matthew Kuhnemann's controversial LBW in the 49th over let down the Indian camp and fans as well.

Nathan Lyon's fifer destroyed the Indian batting
India were seven wickets down with 175 runs on the board when the players left for tea. The two Indian spinners Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin are currently at the crease, scoring 28* off 47 balls and 11* off 23 balls respectively. Australian spinner Nathan Lyon was the one who destroyed the Indian batting line-up with his fifer. The fifth wicket of wicketkeeper batter Srikar Bharat also gave the Aussie spin wizard his 100th Test wicket against India.
Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara, who played his 100th Test match, did not have a great day as he was dismissed for a seven-ball duck. Pujara received a grand guard of honor from his Indian teammates for his milestone achievement.
Earlier, India wrapped the Aussies’ first innings at 263, with Mohammed Shami picking four wickets, and Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja taking three each. Usman Khawaja was the top-scorer for the visitors with 81 runs, while Peter Handscomb remained unbeaten on 72. India, meanwhile, leads the BGT series 1-0, after registering a dominant innings and 132-run victory in Nagpur.
