Any game involving Pakistan is a game to watch out for as it will go down to the wire. England has stepped on Pakistan’s land after seventeen years for a seven-match T20I series. With the series levelled at 1-1, the two teams faced on Friday for the third T20I.

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam called it right at the toss and elected to field first. If the skipper had the power to get back in time, he would do so to reverse his decision. The terrible decision backfired for the Men in Green right from the start as the England batters had a clear plan in their mind. The two testing phases in a T20I match are the powerplay and the death overs.

Speaking of the first innings from England, they had a great powerplay. While Philip Salt failed to withstand the Pakistani wrath, Will Jacks took them to the task. He joined hands with Dawid Malan to produce magic in the powerplay as the Three Lions amassed 57 runs in the powerplay alone.

In the middle overs, just when bowlers from Pakistan thought that they have put an end to Jacks, Ben Duckett rose from the ashes. The player joined hands with Harry Brooks to tarnish the Pakistan pacers and powered England to a total of 221.

Pakistan fumble against mighty England

Speaking of the chase from Pakistan, the openers lacked intent right from the start. Both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan perished in quick succession and the middle-order fumbled like a pack of cards. The powerplay turned out to be a nightmare one for the Men in Green as they lost four wickets inside it.

Despite valiant innings from Shan Masood and Khushdil Shah in the middle overs, Pakistan failed to make it big. As a result of failure from the middle overs, the finishers had a lot to do in the death to clinch the win.

The English bowlers fired in the end and won the match by 63 runs. The Three Lions have taken the lead and will look to carry on with the momentum. However, the chances for Pakistan to clinch the series are pretty high.
