Pakistan are currently busy playing the ongoing two-match Test series at home against New Zealand. After losing the home Test series against England, this series is very crucial for Babar Azam and his men. However, after that series, all Pakistan fans were angry with the former PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja and skipper Babar Azam.

However, the Men in Green are yet to clear their stance on visiting India for the 50-over World Cup in 2023. Earlier, Ramiz Raja said that if India do not come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023. Then Pakistan will go to India for the World Cup. Still, many fans believed that they will come to India for the mega tournaments despite such political errors. Regarding that tournament, star Pakistan pacer Wahab Riaz came up with a huge prediction about Mohammad Amir.

"We may see Mohammad Amir coming back to play for Pakistan once again" - Wahab Riaz

While speaking to Samaa News, veteran bowler Wahab Riaz said that Mohammad Amir can make a comeback to the team for the World Cup. Currently, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf are the prime fast bowlers. But, apart from them, there are three available spots where Amir can fight out with several bowlers like Hasan Ali, Shahnawaz Dahani, Naseem Shah, and Muhammad Wasim Jr.

He said: “We may see Mohammad Amir coming back to play for Pakistan once again. We have Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf but the other three spots are still available. Bowlers like Hasan (Ali), (Shahnawaz) Dahani, Naseem (Shah), (and Muhammad) Wasim are fighting for it. Amir may come back, too.”

Speaking about Mohammad Amir's career, he has played 61 ODIs so far for his country. In 60 innings, he has taken 81 wickets, at an economy of 4.77. He last played for Pakistan in an ODI against Sri Lanka way back on 2 October 2019 in Karachi. Amir took three wickets for 50 runs in 10 overs in that match.  However, he last played for the Men in Green on 30 August 2022 in a T20I game against England at Manchester.
