India’s captain Rohit Sharma has not been at his best in the 20-20 World Cup 2022 so far. The India captain has only one fifty to show in his name against Netherlands where he scored 53 off 39 balls with four fours and three sixes. Barring this knock he has scored 36 runs in four innings.
Rohit will want to break the run of inconsistency and score big in the knockout games for India. Heading into the semi-final against England, Rohit Sharma had an injury scare at the nets just two days before the all-important semi-final against England.
At the nets, the India skipper was facing India’s throwdown specialist. One of the balls jagged back in, and Rohit got hit on the forearm after which he promptly asked for medical assistance. Right after he was given some treatment, he tried to face a ball, but it did not happen, and he went away from the nets.

Meanwhile, Rohit was seated on an icebox as he received another round of treatment. He also was engaged in a lengthy discussion with mental conditioning coach Paddy Upton.
India look to carry their supreme run into semis
India have had a good string of wins to reach the semi-finals, and they in fact have the most number of wins by a team in the Super 12 stages. Though India have had good wins and have dominated in a few games as well, they have not had it easy in this tournament so far.
They had to dig deep and take it to the wire before winning against Pakistan, steered by Virat Kohli’s sparkling unbeaten 82. They had played out a rain-affected game against Bangladesh at Adelaide where they put in a strong total with the bat. And in what was a game of two halves, they bowled much better after the rain break to take 79-6 and win a thriller by 5 runs.
India will take on England in the second semi-final that will be held in Adelaide on November 10. The first semi-final will be held on November 9 in Sydney where Pakistan will lock horns against New Zealand.
