The eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League(PSL) is currently underway and we have already seen a lot of exciting cricket action on the field. Rawalpindi witnessed a high-scoring thriller between Islamabad United and Karachi Kings on Friday, March 3, in which the Shadab Khan-led United won by 6 wickets. Kings have managed to win only two of their eight matches and much like last year, this time also they have left their fans disappointed with the performance.
The Imad Wasim-led side have lost many close matches, so far, in the tournament, with the latest defeat coming against United despite having scored 201 runs on the board. After a disappointing performance by the Karachi bowlers who failed to defend a big total, former Pakistani skipper Wasim Akram, who is the president and mentor of the team, was seen expressing his anger on his boys. In a video that is going viral on social media platforms, the former star pacer could be seen getting into a heated exchange with star all-rounder Shoaib Malik.

This is not the first time that Akram has vented his frustration after the team's disappointing performance. A couple of weeks ago, he was seen kicking chairs in the dressing room in anger after his team failed to chase down a total of 197 runs against Multan Sultans.
With just four points, the Karachi-based side are second-to-last position in the points table. They managed to win only one match in PSL 2022 and finished at the bottom position, and the fortunes of the team have not changed much this year, either.
Captain Wasim scored 92 runs off 54 balls and led the team's batting unit from the front. There were some handy contributions from other batters as well to take the team's total to 201-5. However, the Karachi bowlers had no response to Azam Khan's firework. The 24-year-old scored 72* off 41 balls and opener Alex Hales (34 off 16 balls) also contributed to United's massive win.
