Terrific comeback by RR bowlers restricted RCB below 200
Meanwhile, RCB is currently playing Rajasthan Royals in the 32nd match of the IPL 2023. Kohli is once again leading the side, while Faf du Plessis continues to be an impact player. RR won the toss and elected to bat first at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and their bowlers did a great job to restrict the opposition below 200.
Trent Boult got his team off to a good start by dismissing Kohli on the very first ball of the innings. Boult took his second wicket of the evening by removing Shahbaz Ahmed in the third over. After that, RCB's two overseas batters Du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell put on a 100+ stand to bring the hosts back into the game. The team reached a total of 139 before du Plessis was dismissed in 13.2 overs.
Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Maxwell in the 15th over and from there the game turned towards RR's favour. They conceded just 30 runs off the last five overs. When RCB looked set to score over 200 on the back of Faf and Maxi's partnership, the visitors restricted them to 189-9.
