While India and Australia are locked in a heated contest at The Oval, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill decided to create a humorous moment for the spectators. The World Test Champions (WTC) final has entered its fourth day, with Australia still holding the upper hand. Pat Cummins and Co resumed Day 4 with a 296-run lead in their second innings with six wickets to spare, making them clear favourites to win the Ultimate Test.

Marnes Labuschagne and Cameron Greene came out to bat in the first session and a few overs later Kohli was involved in a funny incident with Gill on the field. Kohli was seen teasing the youngster on his way towards the slips and pictures and videos of the same went viral on social media with fans giving hilarious comments.

During the 51st over, the former Indian captain jokingly pretended to hit Gill on his crotch, but the latter responded quickly and ended up doing some hand movements. One user commented, "This time Shubman was ready for the one coming in." "Breaking news!! Virat Kohli trying for ball tempering," another wrote.

Can Kohli and Gill perform well in the second innings?

Kohli and Gill entered the WTC final after having an outstanding season in the 2023 Indian Premier League. However, both failed to continue their form in the longer format as they were dismissed cheaply in the first innings against Australia. India will try to end the Aussies' second innings as soon as possible, but they will be too far behind to win the match. Indian fans are hoping that Kohli and Gill will put up valuable performances in the second innings.

Meanwhile, Kohli and Gill share a special bond and are called the 'King' and 'Prince' of Indian cricket by their fans. Ahead of the WTC final, Kohli praised India's opening batter and also reacted to the tags attached to the duo.

"He speaks to me a lot about the game and I am keen to help him grow. All these tags of King and Prince are great for the public but the job of any senior cricketer is to help any youngster groom youngsters and give them insight that you have experienced throughout your career so that they can manage their ups and downs. He is a lovely kid, he is playing amazingly well and I wish he continues that in this (ongoing Test match) as well," the 34-year-old said.
