After missing out on the T20I series against New Zealand, the Indian superstar Virat Kohli will next feature in the Tests against Australia and it would be a perfect setup for the right-handed batter to make a comeback in the longest format of the game as well. To add more, the team management is looking ahead when it comes to the shortest format of the game and unofficially, the Indian superstar is being left out of the T20I series.

That being said, Kohli was recently spotted at Rishikesh with his wife Anushka Sharma and the duo won hearts. The veteran hit the gym ahead of the much-awaited and the most-challenging Test series of the year, the Border-Gavaskar trophy to be played against the Pat Cummins-led Australian side.

The first Test is slated on February 9 in Nagpur and it would also mark the return of veterans like Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and opener KL Rahul. The Indian superstar Kohli uploaded the video on his official Instagram account on February 3, Friday and the clip is now breaking the internet, once again.

Can Virat Kohli make a comeback in Tests as well?

Kohli struggled against Bangladesh in Tests when the Indian team toured them in December and it remains to be seen if the veteran would be able to make a strong comeback in the longest format of the game as well, given that he has scored three quick centuries in the ODIs as well, after scoring his 71st international ton against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022.

On the other hand, the Baggy Greens are leaving no stone unturned to prepare for the series and the spinning tracks, giving reports emerged on Thursday claiming that the Australians were studying the footage of talented allrounder Axar Patel and are considering him to be a ‘huge threat’ in the series. With Jadeja and Ashwin making a return, despite having a strong squad, Australia are the early favourite to take home the win.
