Former India skipper Virat Kohli and Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis used to be teammates once in the Indian T20 League. Four years back, they played with each other in the Bangalore outfit. However, they were estranged in 2020 and haven't played in the same team since then. Meanwhile, during the third ODI between India and Australia, both had a rough moment during the second innings.

Apparently, during the home team's chase, Kohli deliberately collided with Stoinis. The incident happened in the 21st over of the innings. While taking a run, the Delhi player collided with the Aussie and then, started back at the latter. At this stage, Kohli and KL Rahul were batting at the crease. The video has been going viral on the internet.

Virat Kohli's wicket proved to be a turning point for India

Meanwhile, talking about the game, the Aussies won the toss and elected to bat first. Openers, Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh added 68 runs for the first wicket. However, the likes of Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav reduced the team to 138/5. The former took three wickets during this phase while Kuldeep took two.

The likes of Marcus Stoinis and Alex Carey put together 48 runs before the former got out to Axar Patel. Carey was cleaned up by Yadav soon after. From 203/7, the Australian tailenders took the team to 269 all-out. For India, Kuldeep and Pandya took three wickets each while Mohammed Siraj and Axar Patel took two. In reply, the Men In Blue had a decent start with skipper Rohit Sharma charging the opposition bowlers with 30 off 17 balls.

However, the team lost their openers with a score of 77. At 77/2, the likes of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul added 69 runs for the third wicket. Even though the team lost the wickets of Rahul and Axar Patel in quick succession, they had Kohli at the crease. However, after his wicket at 185, the team was folded for 248 runs, losing the game by 21 runs.
