Star Indian batter Virat Kohli was not able to trouble the scorers much in the India vs Pakistan clash in Asia Cup 2023 on Saturday, Kohli was bowled by Shaheen Shah Afridi for just 4 (7) runs. After the Indian innings got over on 266/10, the rain got heavy, and the match was called off without the ball bowled in the second innings. A video of a former Indian skipper's fan is circulated, in which the fan can be seen expressing her love for the star Indian batter. 

Speaking of the match in the 1st innings, India after the early blows by Pakistan bowlers recovered well and posted a total of 266/10 in 48.5 overs in Asia Cup 2023, at the start of the play, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first, Men in Blue's chances of getting a good score were shattered after Rohit, Virat, Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill departed within the 15 overs of the game.

However, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya had different plans altogether as they stood in the crease and added 138 runs together to take India 66-4 to 205-5, they together batted brilliantly and attacked the spinners and kept rotating strike against the pacers. Ishan was dismissed for 82 runs by Haris Rauf after Ravindra Jadeja came in next and tried to score some quick runs along with Pandya, the latter one being the aggressor. 

Jadeja was dismissed by Shaheen Shah Afridi on the 13-run mark, after the wicket on Pandyac on 87(90), Jasprit Bumrah scored 16 runs including three boundaries which later pushed the Indian innings to a score of 266. In the end, the Babar Azam-led side won their first game against Nepal and after this game, points were shared.

the Men in Green now remained at the top of the table of Group 'A' while the Indian side opened their account as it was their first game in the tournament. On September 3, Bangladesh and Afghanistan will take on each other in Asia Cup 2023 in Lahore.
