After losing to Bangladesh in the first ODI, India faced off against the team in the second ODI on December 7, Wednesday. To add more, it was the Bangla Tigers who batted first against a fiery Indian bowling attack on a crucial day. India had a great start with the ball as they went on to pick 6 wickets in no time and eventually restricted Bangladesh to 69/6 in no time. However, what caught the eye of the fans was the wicket of Shakib Al Hasan off Washington Sundar’s delivery.

Concerning the wicket, Shakib tried to up the game and eventually found the top edge, with the ball flying high in the air. Shikhar Dhawan, who was beneath the ball, let it slip and eventually caught it off guard with his legs, leaving Sundar baffled. The video was shared all over the internet and fans went crazy over the same, claiming it to be one of the rarest catches of all time.

Bangladesh bounce back in second ODI

As far as the match is concerned, after opting to bat first, the Bangla Tigers got off to a poor start. The likes of Anamul Haque, Litton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim perished in quick succession. However, Mohammad Mahmadullah and Mehidy Hasan, who single-handedly led the team to victory in the first ODI, joined hands to put on over a 100-run partnership for the 7th wicket, bringing the Bangla Tigers back into the game eventually.

India, on the other hand, had a nightmare as Rohit Sharma was moved off the field following an injury scare in his thumb finger. At the end of the 45 overs, Bangladesh were reeling at 203/6 and made a strong comeback with the bat post losing wickets in quick succession early in the innings. The Men in Blue, on the other hand, would hope to make a comeback and level the series, given that they were staring at a possible series loss against the great-hearted Bangladesh players.
