Trent Boult of the Rajasthan Royals demonstrated his outstanding fielding abilities on Friday, dismissing Punjab Kings opener Prabhsimran Singh with a fantastic crisp catch off his own bowling in an IPL match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
Boult delivered a tempting length ball that swung back in on the second ball of the innings, leaving Prabhsimran unsure of his shot. After a timid chip towards the bowler's end, Prabhsimran had no idea what was going to happen. Boult, on the other hand, flew to his right and grabbed the ball in his follow-through, displaying great reflexes and agility.
While Prabhsimran walked back to the team dugout, PBKS captain Shikhar Dhawan was speechless at the amazing catch. The audience applauded as the Kiwi player maintained his composure and balance while completing the grab.

Earlier, RR skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and choose to bat against PBKS in their final IPL league match. Unfortunately, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was forced to miss the game owing to a back spasm. Due to Ashwin's unavailability, RR had to make many changes to their playing XI. Among those included in the team were Riyan Parag, Trent Boult, and Navdeep Saini. “We have a couple of changes. Last-minute changes. Ashwin misses out because of a back spasm,” Samson said.
As for the game, PBKS lost a few early wickets, which put them on the back foot. They lost their fourth wicket for 50 runs in the seventh over. Jitesh Sharma, on the other hand, helped to steady the ship with a spectacular 44-run knock in 28 balls.
Sam Curran and Shahrukh Khan also joined the fun, slamming Yuzvendra Chahal all over the park to achieve a nice total. They batted undefeated for 49 and 41 runs, respectively, to help the team to an above-par total of 187/5 in their allocated 20 overs.
