The Virat Kohli fever in Australia is yet to settle down as the batter left everyone in awe of his stupendous innings against Pakistan in the campaign opener of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. With his unbeaten 82 that saw India take the much-needed 2 points, Kohli set the tone for the ongoing showpiece event in Australia.
However, what caught the eye of the fans were the two sixes off Haris Rauf’s penultimate over when India required 28 off 8 balls. A cab driver in Australia, who is still yet to come out of the match, was seen praising the veteran in a video, that is now going viral on the internet.
Commenting on Kohli’s innings and his shot against Rauf, the driver was seen saying that those two shots were so pleasing and also lauding the Indian giant for his great-hearted innings. “Oh god those sixes in the second-last over. This guy is unbelievable,” she said.

It’s a surreal atmosphere: Kohli
The batter himself, after bagging the Player of the Match award on an epic day, said that it was a surreal atmosphere and added that it was unbelievable. Further, the Indian veteran said that he would rate the innings a bit higher than the Mohali innings against Australia in 2016.
“It's a surreal atmosphere, I have no words, no idea how that happened. I am really lost for words. Hardik believed we can do it, if we stayed till the end. When Shaheen bowled from the pavilion end, that's when we decided to take him down,” said Kohli after the Pakistan match.
“Standing here I just feel like it was meant to be. Till today Mohali was my best innings against Australia. Today I will count this one higher. Hardik kept pushing me. The crowd has been phenomenal. You guys (fans) kept backing me and I am grateful for your support,” said the batter further.
It is understandable that a fan can take a lot of time to get out of the innings, as it was unbelievable for the batter himself. As things stand, India will face off against South Africa on October 30, Sunday in Perth and would look to carry on with the momentum.
