The Indian cricket team will be back in action after a month-long gap following their loss to Australia in the World Test Championship final in June. The Men in Blue have arrived in Barbados on Monday (July 3) for their West Indies tour starting July 12. The multi-format clash will begin with a two-match Test series, followed by three ODI series and a five-match T20I series.

It will be India's first series in the third cycle of the WTC, which they will want to start in style after suffering another heartbreak in a Test Championship final. The 50-over series will be an important preparation phase for Team India as the World Cup is scheduled to take place in October-November. Meanwhile, the T20I series is an opportunity for youngsters to showcase their talent at the international level ahead of the World Cup next year.

The Indian Cricket Board posted a nearly two-minute video of Indian cricketers playing beach volleyball on Twitter on Monday. The video was captioned: Touchdown Caribbean! Ishan Kishan takes over the camera to shoot #TeamIndia's beach volleyball session in Barbados. How did Ishan - the cameraman - do behind the lens?"

In the video, young Indian star Ishan Kishan can be seen giving updates to the viewers. At the end of the video, India's strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai revealed that the players will have their first training session on Tuesday.

India have made a notable change to their Test squad by dropping veteran batter Cheteshwar Pujara following his poor showing in the WTC final. The selectors have included Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad, but it remains to be seen who will replace Pujara in the No. 3 spot.
