In the end, Bangladesh had to get a revised target of 151. The turning point for India started with KL Rahul’s direct run out which triggered the fall of wickets for Bangladesh. Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya picked up two wickets each for India as the bowlers curtailed the run flow by taking regular wickets and emerged victorious in the end.

Virat Kohli was awarded the player of the match for his outstanding innings of 64 off 44, which consisted of eight fours and one maximum. Rahul fought back his detractors and scored a superb half-century, which contained three fours and four sixes after critics had questioned his place in the Indian side due to a string of low scores.
