The fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia is underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium, with the visitors winning the toss and electing to bat first. The backdrop of the final test was momentous as the Prime Ministers of both nations graced the occasion and presented special caps to the two captains of their respective countries. Indian PM presented the cap to Rohit Sharma, while Aussie PM Anthony Albanese presented the baggy green to Steve Smith.
Ahmedabad had a great moment ahead of the Test match when the entire stadium sang India's national anthem along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Team India. Afterwards, Albanese joined the Australian players to sing their national anthem as they celebrate 75 years of friendship between India and Australia.

India looking to secure WTC final spot
The Prime Ministers met their respective teams and wished them luck for the big event, so both teams will be looking forward to leaving their mark in front of the hue crowd in Ahmedabad. India was expected to whitewash the series after their stunning victories in the first two Test matches at Nagpur and Delhi. But the Indian batters crumbled in front of the Australian spinners in a rank turner at Indore, losing the third Test by 9 wickets. However, Rohit and Co will be aiming to win the final Test as they look to clinch the series 3-1 and essentially book a birth in the World Test Championship final.
Opting to bat first, Australia dominated the first hour of the fourth Test as Travis Head and Usman Khawaja put on 61 runs partnership for the first wicket. But India was able to level the contest by picking up two wickets in the second half of the session. Head was dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin for 32 and Marnus Labuschagne was bowled by Mohammed Shami or 3 runs. Australia were 75-2 after 29 overs when the players left for lunch. India will look to keep the pressure on the Australian batters for the remaining hours of the day.
