India is currently taking on Bangladesh in the Group 2 encounter of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. The Bangladesh team managed to score 66 runs in seven overs while chasing a target of 185 before rain interrupted the proceedings. The team led by Shakib Al Hasan is well ahead of what India had scored at this point in their innings. They have managed to take a 17-run lead as per the DLS method.

Liton Das, who has played an exceptional knock, is to be credited for Bangladesh's position. He is currently batting on 59 runs in 26 balls, with seven fours and three sixes. Najmul Hossain Shanto, Das' opening partner, on the other hand, has only scored 7 runs in the 16 balls that he has faced.

In the meantime, former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar believes Bangladesh has an advantage if the rain continues to fall. In a video that he uploaded on his Twitter handle, he lauded Liton Das for his brilliance and wondered if the game was heading towards another upset in the tournament.

"Bangladesh, Amazing. Brilliant. Fantastic. Kya opening stand di hai Shanto aur Liton Das ne. Fainti laga rahe India ki. Are we heading towards another disaster, another upset? Brilliant game played by the Bangladeshis. What an innings by Das, 50 in 25. Kya player hai yaar. Great player aur maza aayega ye match dekhne me. Dekhte hai upset hota hai ya nahi," he said.

KL Rahul's 31-ball half-century earlier in the game gave India a strong start. Virat Kohli also added another half-century to his impressive performance in the mega event. He scored 64 runs in 44 balls, with eight boundaries and one six in the innings.

The game has now been reduced to 16 overs, with a revised target of 151 runs. The Men In Blue will look to get a few early wickets after the unwanted break to get back in the game. On the other hand, Bangladesh would hope to continue where they left off before the interruption.
