The International League T20 (ILT20) is ongoing and fans are awaiting the winner of the inaugural season, with them claiming the tournament to be a hit as fans from India are leaving no stone unturned to add to the viewership. On January 31, Tuesday, Desert Viperps squared off against Sharjah Warriors in Match 23 of the highly-competitive tournament.
Sam Billings, the keeper of the Vipers’ team, produced the run-out of the tournament to dismiss Joe Denly, the skipper of the Warriors team, in what can be called one of the turning points of the game. To add more, in the 10th over, when the Warriors were chasing a target of 149 and reeling at 53/3, the English star pulled off a brilliant run-out to send the opponent skipper back to the dugout.

Happier than the other night: Colin Munro
It was the Vipers who won the game by 22 runs and opening up on the win, Munro said that he was happier than the other night, lauding the team for the win. The New Zealand batter claimed that it was a well-executed plan from the bowlers to keep it tight for the opponent batters during the chase and keep them on their toes, although they put on a total of less than the 150-run mark.
“Happier than the other night. Tricky wicket but we did really well to scrap to that total. And our bowlers did well, didn't go away from our plans and stuck to the hard lengths. It (pitch) did look similar to the other night but didn't play the same at all,” Munro was quoted as saying after the win in the post-match presentation.
“They (Billings and Howell) got us a partnership which gave us a handy score. We've got a fantastic bench and it will take a wonderful squad to win the tournament. Credit goes to the support staff to keep the boys ready. Everyone is stepping up at different times. It's all working out well for us at the moment,” said the Kiwi batter further.
