The Road Safety World Series 2022 is approaching the summit game and India Legends are the first team to qualify for the finals. The Indian veterans thumped Australia Legends in the semi-finals and made it to the summit game. Irfan Pathan turned out to be the star of the night with his 12-ball 37. The team captain Sachin Tendulkar shared a sweet moment with the all-rounder’s son post the conclusion of the match. 

Interacting with Irfan Pathan’s son Imran post the match, Sachin Tendulkar shared a cute moment with him. “How did we win the game today? He (Pathan) went and hit sixes. That’s why we won,” the Indian great said to Imran as he hugged him. “And that’s how we won the game!” Irfan Pathan captioned the video that he posted on Instagram.

India Legends make it through to the finals

India Legends have made it to the finals in style. The semi-finals against Australia turned out to be a cracker and there were many moments to take away from the game. Putting on a total of 171 runs on board, Australia Legends looked confident of defending the total. 

The Sachin Tendulkar-led Indian team started well on the back of a valiant fifty from Naman Ojha. The latter remained unbeaten on a fighting 90 while the middle order crumbled like a pack of cards. However, Irfan Pathan came to the rescue of the team and played a stunning 12-ball 37 to take the team home. 

Justifiably, Naman Ojha won the player of the match award and helped team India in the win. The Sachin Tendulkar-led team will either face Sri Lanka Legends or West Indies Legends on Saturday (October 1). If at all India Legends manage to clinch the title, it will be a fairytale end to a great tournament. 

However, for now, the fans are happy with the video and they are cherishing the win at the same time.
