India and Pakistan, the two heavyweights, faced off in a much-awaited clash for the second time in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. The Super 4 round of the Asia Cup 2022 is where the two teams met for the second time in the competition. After being told to bat first by Babar Azam, the Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul did an excellent job of getting off to a great start.
However, the duo returned very soon to make way for Indian legend Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav. The latter also couldn't withstand the wrath of the Pakistani bowlers and made his way back quickly. In came Rishabh Pant, who started playing his signature unorthodox shots right from ball one. He played a reverse sweep off Shadab Khan's delivery and was caught by Asif Ali.
This frustrated many fans and the Indian skipper, who wanted the batter to play it on the onside. While the match was still on, a video surfaced where the Indian skipper was seen asking for clarification from the southpaw for his poor selection of shots. The Mumbai batter looked pretty upset with Pant and the latter also gave his explanation to the skipper.
Here is the video

Pakistan thumped India in the Super 4 round of the Asia Cup 2022
The Men in Green looked on course to chase down the total right from the start. The Indian bowlers failed to keep it tight defending the total of 181 and leaked runs pretty easily. Mohammad Rizwan stood up for his team and came up with some classy shots until he crumbled for 71 off 51 balls.
His innings comprised four 4s and two 6s at the strike rate of around 140. Pakistan made a brilliant move to send Mohammad Nawaz up the order and the player vindicated the decision further with his quickfire 42. The Men in Green successfully avenged India for the defeat in the first match and clinched the win by five wickets.
India, on the other hand, needs to take a look at its bowling as it looks weak in the death. The Men in Blue will face Sri Lanka next in the Super 4 on Tuesday.
