Pakistan star batter Saim Ayub shined in the 19th match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023 as he scored 62 (43) runs, including four sixes and the same number of boundaries. Guyana Amazon Warriors were chasing 173 runs against Trinbago Knight Riders where Saim was the opener for the Guyana-based side and helped win the game by six wickets with five balls remaining. After this win, the Imran Tahir-led is at the top of the CPL 2023 table.
It is pertinent to mention that, chasing a total of 173 runs, Guyana did not start well and got the first blow in the second over of the innings, as an opener Chandrapaul Hemraj got out on 10 runs. Saim and Shai Hope together added 93 runs for the second wicket which Hope contributed with his 51 runs off 40 balls, including three fours and the same number of sixes.

Eventually, Pakistan's star left-handed batter was dismissed on the 13th over of the game, after his departure, wicketkeeper batter Azam Khan and Shimron Hetmyer together added quick-fire runs to win the game. In his innings, Azam scored 29 runs off 14 balls, while Hetmyer scored 13 (7), In the bowling department for Trinidad, Ali Khan and Andre Russell together clinched two wickets each, while other bowlers failed to give any breakthrough.
